Terms of Service

Welcome to MokiNews. By subscribing to and using the service, you agree to the terms set out below, so please take a moment to read them. They are meant to be plain and fair, and to set clear expectations on both sides. If you do not agree with them, the simplest option is not to subscribe, and you can unsubscribe at any time. These terms apply to the newsletter and any related pages we operate. If anything is unclear, feel free to ask us at service@moki.news.

The Service

MokiNews is a free daily email briefing that summarizes news and topics you choose, delivered to your inbox. The service is provided as is, as a personal project offered at no cost, and it comes with no guarantee of any particular schedule, format, or feature set. We may change, improve, pause, or discontinue the newsletter, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice. From time to time delivery may be delayed or interrupted for reasons inside or outside our control. Because it is free, you should not build any critical dependency on it always being available. We will, however, try to give reasonable notice of major changes when we can.

Acceptable Use

We ask that you use the service in a lawful and reasonable way, consistent with these terms and its intended purpose. You agree not to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the newsletter, our sending infrastructure, or the experience of other subscribers. Automated scraping, bulk harvesting, or systematic copying of our content or subscriber system is not permitted. You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service or its underlying systems. Please do not use the service to break the law, infringe others' rights, or send abuse of any kind through channels we provide. If you misuse the service, we may suspend or remove your access.

Personal, Non-Commercial Use

The newsletter is offered for your own personal, non-commercial reading. You are welcome to forward an issue to a friend or quote a short passage, as long as you keep the original attribution and links intact. You may not resell, republish wholesale, or otherwise commercialize our content, or present it as your own work. Systematically reproducing entire issues, or building a competing product from our briefings, is not allowed without our permission. The content and branding of MokiNews remain the property of their respective owners. If you would like to use our content beyond personal reading, please get in touch at service@moki.news and we can discuss it.

Unsubscribing

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link included at the bottom of every email, and it takes effect right away. There is no cost, no penalty, and no need to explain why you are leaving. If you would rather stay but change what you receive, you can adjust your chosen topics or switch the newsletter's language instead of leaving entirely. Because we use double opt-in, you always control whether you are on the list in the first place. Once you unsubscribe, we remove your address from the active sending list, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are always welcome to subscribe again later if you change your mind.

No Warranty and Updates

The service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, MokiNews and 陳愷翊 will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the newsletter. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that cannot be excluded under applicable law. We may update these terms from time to time, and any changes will be posted on this page with effect from posting. Your continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised terms. We encourage you to check back occasionally so you know where things stand.

Changes to the Service

Because MokiNews is a small, evolving project, the shape of the service may change over time. We may add or retire topics, adjust how often we send, redesign the format, or experiment with new features as we learn what works. On rare occasions we may need to pause or end the newsletter entirely, and if that happens we will aim to let subscribers know in advance where practical. Any changes to delivery, content, or features do not create an obligation on our part or a paid entitlement on yours, since the service is free. If a change means we handle your data differently, we will update the Privacy Policy accordingly. We make these adjustments to keep the briefing useful and sustainable over the long run.
